3rd Afrikan Online Oware Championship

The 3rd Afrikan Online Oware Championship, is scheduled to take place on Sunday 27th August 2023 from 16:30 GMT time (17:30 BST), on the PlayStrategy platform. This championship as the title indicates is exclusiely for players based on the Afrikan continent. Registration is free and can be done from the events webpage on this website. We will be awarding cash prizes for the first three positioned Oware Society member players, if 20 or more players participate. Certificates of participation will be issued to all participants.

It is a prerequisite that before registering for the championship that you have a PlayStrategy username, as this is asked for on the registration form. If you haven’t got one you can register on the PlayStrategy platform. You can join the tournament from now via the link provided.

Please be aware that if you do not supply us with a PlayStrategy username during the registration process, you will not receive the password for the championship. To participate in this tournament you have to be a member of the PlayStrategy Oware team. You can join the team by clicking this link: PlayStrategy Oware Team 

Conditions: Agree to have their profile, which may include a photograph, highlighted on The Oware Society website. 

To avoid dissapointment on the day it is strongly adviced to take part in the weekly practice tournaments, scheduled on Tuedays from 18:30 GMT (19:30 BST). Take part in these practice tournaments to become familar with how the tournament room functions and how to join correctly to participate in championships.

On the day of the championship enter the tournament room by clicking this link: 3rd Afrikan Online Oware Championship. If you have not already joined you will be prompted for the password. You will find this password in the registration acknowledgement email from the OWS website.
